Brewing the beer we love. Helm Bar was born out of travels in the Pacific North West and Belgium. A passion for strong, distinctive beer. We brew from our small holding on the edge of the North Pennines and in the lea of the dastardly, sometimes wearing Helm Wind (one of the world’s famous named winds – Google it – other search engines available). We are operating a small pilot size brewery at the moment which we purchased off the fantastic Corinium Ales. Hopefully we will be the second successful micro this little hardworking gear will inspire. Being small, we can afford to buy the highest quality grain and hops (when we can get them of course – the down side of being small), and being small batches, we can brew whatever takes our fancy and explore the exotic side of craft brewing. We are producing beer in cask, keg and bottle conditioned.
